The Spherical-shape drink cabinet was inspired by a spinning coin , and the wall-mounted Dime cabinet has an hemi-spherical shape that creates the perfect furniture for a home drinking bar. It also has a standing desk and a small kitchen space with some curved segmented panels that surround the inner panels for more space and convenient. The furniture comes with some side units with smooth collapsible design.

Dime has remained a dynamic furniture piece , it comes with some individual curved segments that simply glide and shuffle to expose its numerous functions. Its repetition of forms is exposed when the furniture is closed while the soft texture of rosewood even adds to its elegant and stylish appeal. Colour wheels are a collection of some of the most fascinating and artistic hand-braided mirrors introduced by The New Craftsmen. The fascinating frames can transform modern home interiors, and the project was completed through collaboration with some textile designers such as John Jones and Aimee Betts. The design was partly completed at the John James Conservation studio, and it involves the combination of several brass metal frames surrounding new mirrors The cords of the frames were developed by Aimee Betts and it involves some circular Knitting methods. The mirrors were completed with various metal finishes.

There process of transforming several metallic raw materials through a process known as “Oxidation” can be a breath-taking one. According to the designer of this new stylish mirror, the patination effect has provided the best colour palette that can be drawn into some textile design practices. The design of the exterior frames of the mirror was further developed into a continuous colour flow that transforms an ordinary mirror into a stunning fading ombre that complements the fascinating relationship between different colours.

The new hand-braided mirror frame was designed at John Jones workshop and it involves the use of rolled brass strips while the frame was developed into a loop and the ends were braised . Outstanding architecture of closse residence by Naturehumaine

Naturehumaine has added some extra staircase into this 1960s model home to transform it into a more stylish modern piece of architecture. The home is a minimalist piece of architecture located in Montreal , Canada, while the new staircase has formed part of the refurbishment to get the house back to reckoning. The old angular shapes have been have been cut off the planks and the partition walls have also been replaced with new staircase that will emphasize some focal point for the new space created. The exterior of the building has been restored, especially with the addition of a new steel roof and dormer created for the bathroom’s upper floor.

The architects of Closse residence have placed new and large glazed patio doors to the building, and that has opened up the south facade . The Internal partitions removed have ensured that newly installed lightning are able to reach every corner of the house. The newly constructed central staircase is made up of rolled steel with other materials such as frosted glass and maple veneer. The kitchen of the closse residence by Naturehumaine have also been refurbished with a number of cool new features; the counter tops has been redesigned and have been cantilevered at 2.4m high above the cabinets, and that provides excellent surfaces for dining, or when you want to transit between cooking and eating.

Several portions of the old Closse residence have been preserved, or restored and such include ; the fireplace, and that has provided great aesthetic appeal on the overall look of the kitchen. The texture of the materials used in the restoration of the fireplace has created some contrasts when compared with the texture of the newly installed elements. The exterior of the building has been repainted, while the old windows have also been replaced. The new and contemporary dormer was added to the roof where the second floor bathrooms are located. The use of some limited pallet designs has created some unity between the old and new elements of this home.

The large gable roof , used in the design of the exterior of this home has made it possible to use a triangle geometry in re-shaping the home. For instance, the new Triangle geometry makes the staircase even more visible from the outside of the home, and it also exposes the relationship between the house and the roof. The new L-shaped Porch, which is sported by some thin black columns at the outer edges works perfectly for the Interior. The brick and Timer walls, and a stone chimney stack all complete the design of the interior of the building.

One of the most amazing things about the new building is that the stair illuminate the dining area, while the main larger dining table sits comfortably in front of a stone wall and a fireplace located right at the corner. There are several panels of mirror located close to the large black framed windows, and these maximize the lightning down the staircase and the basement.

Famous Israeli designer- Hilla Shamia has released a wood casting furniture made from Molten aluminum and charred wood , through some joinery skills. He was able to create difference pieces including; stools , coffee tables, ordinary tables, and benches. The furniture are made from set pieces of aluminum that is molten into the back sides of square or rounded sawn timber wood. The molten aluminum creates some chars on the part of the wood it is poured unto, and it darkens the area to create some contrast of the dark aluminum metal. The charring effect of the aluminum will cause some splitting, and the liquid form of the molten metal can penetrate the wood to create some strong bond while it solidifies.

The flat surface of the timber wood allows the aluminum casting to settle in and this is casted into mould on the surface of the wood to form some stylish tapered legs. The production of the pieces of different furniture is quick and straight-forward, and one may not need chiseling or any other traditional joinery techniques.

The natural material in most types of wood, make them unique for making different types and forms of furniture, likewise , the numerous wood casting and hand-craftsmanship method involved in their making also make them unique and fascinating. Mexican restaurant where animal dungs create beautiful decoration on the walls

The sight of animal dungs decorating an Hueso restaurant in Mexico are quite rare. Thousands of animal bones are used in the decoration of the interior parts of the restaurant , which was established in 1940s. The hotel, located in the city of Guadalajara, is referred to as “Hueso restaurant” which simply means- The bone restaurant. Even the tiles of the restaurant are adorned with animal bones with some black linear arrangements of cladded exterior, and while the walls have lots of animal carcass decorations.

The restaurant’s menu seem to be the main motivation for the animal skeletal décor, and such menu included unusual components like bone marrow. The approach on the design includes the creation of a double skin, and on the exterior of the walls are some artistic designs of handmade ceramic tiles with lots of graphical arts that protects the skin layer within. The exterior décor has a rich organic texture. When a visitor enters the restaurant for the first time, he sees a suspended bone on a chain at the entrance, and on getting into the inner confinement one can notice that every vertical square is covered with animal skin , and over 10,000 collected animal bones.

The decoration of the Mexican restaurant was inspired by the Darwinian concept where a patchy layer of white paint is used in washing the exposed brick walls in the interior, and animal skulls were used in decorating the ceiling. The cooking utensils comprise of bone fragments and anatomical inscriptions and drawings. The white and grey colour palette used in designing all the ornaments in this restaurant even makes the interior more stunning. At the foot of the white staircase are some animal specimens that make the restaurant appears like a museum.

Underneath the sideboards of the restaurants are some pieces of collected leg bones that are piled into some white-coloured buckets, and these have taken place from the traditional center-pieces usually found in restaurants. Visitors are welcomed to the inviting wooden café chairs that are neatly positioned around a long wooden table which adorns the tiered floor. White rods of small bulbs protrude through the holes in the table to form an umbrella-like stand just like the trunk of a dead tree.

In the restaurant’s main kitchen, customers’ orders are normally kept between the broken ribs of a skeletal cast, while the bathroom has concrete wall covered with white tiles and animal skulls. The horned animal skulls adorn the toilet like a hung piece of trophy. The culinary concept of this restaurant was provided by the famous Mexican designer- Alfonso Cadena, while the Concept and Art directions were provided by Ignacio Cadena. The Ceramics were provided Jose Noe Suro, while the Graphic designs were supplied by Rocio Serna.

The Hueso restaurant has brought some unique experience especially to the Mexican hospitality industry and it is believed that lots of hotels , restaurants and other architectural masterpieces will definitely want to try some inspirational décor to their design.
